W serwisie Amazon.ca pojawił się w sprzedaży przedmiot opisany jako „Poland Door Mat Floor Mat – Flag (28×20 inches). Jest to wycieraczka do butów w formie polskiej flagi. Dokonaliśmy zakupu tego przedmiotu, aby sprawdzić, czy nie jest to jakaś prowokacja - „fake internetowy” itd.Dzięki takiemu kontrolnemu zakupowi przekonaliśmy się, że takie przedmioty rzeczywiście można kupić.
Poza tym, okazało się, że w serwisie Amazon są oferowane do sprzedaży w takiej formie również flagi innych państw.
W europejskim kodzie kulturowym deptanie flagi, czy też wycieranie w nią butów jest wyrazem pogardy dla narodu, który ją czci. Oferowanie wycieraczek do butów w takiej formie może zatem wzbudzać nienawiść między narodami.
Dlatego przygotowaliśmy wezwanie do Amazon, aby usunięto tego rodzaju przedmioty z oferty tego największego na świecie sklepu internetowego. Polska wersja tego wezwania jest opublikowana poniżej:

Na portalu Amazon.com i Amazon.ca widnieją firmy, które specjalizują się w produkcji gadżetów bądź posterów wykorzystujących flagi narodowe różnych krajów. Niestety flagi tych krajów (m.in. polska, amerykańska, włoska czy flagi krajów Ameryki Południowej) niejednokrotnie są używane w niewłaściwym kontekście.
Najbardziej rażące jest wykorzystywanie symboli narodowych bądź historycznych jako grafika drukowana na wycieraczkach do butów!
Wycieraczka pod drzwi (wewnętrzne bądź zewnętrzne) służy jako przedmiot użytkowy: jest deptana, wyciera się w nią buty. Wykorzystanie flagi narodowej jako grafiki na takim przedmiocie przywodzi na myśl prostą analogię w odniesieniu do konkretnego kraju: zdeptać Polaków, wytrzeć buty o Niemców, Amerykanów, Izraelczyków…
Nienawiść do jakiejś nacji, może wyrazić się satysfakcją z deptania jej flagi narodowej sześć razy dziennie.
W wielu krajach ustanowiony jest Dzień Flagi Narodowej. Wywieszamy flagi w trakcie rocznic narodowych i świąt państwowych. Flagi narodowe wiszą w miejscach sprawowania władzy państwowej w krajach na całym świecie.
Wielu ludzi otacza czcią swoje barwy narodowe i wywiesza flagę przed swym domem.
W wielu krajach za znieważenie flagi przewidziana jest kara więzienia.
Dla Europejczyków i ludzi związanych z europejskim kodem kulturowym deptanie flagi jakiegoś narodu jest wyrazem pogardy dla tego narodu. W konsekwencji sprzedaż polskiej flagi jako wycieraczki do butów (jak to się zdarzyło na Amazon.ca) czy jakiegokolwiek innego narodu jest rozprzestrzenianiem pogardy między narodami i mowy nienawiści (hate speech)
Wzywamy Amazon.com i Amazon.ca do usunięcia wszystkich sklepów, które oferują wycieraczki pod drzwi z flagami narodowymi.
Wzywamy tez do zmiany regulaminu platformy, tak aby tego typu produkty były odgórnie blokowane przez administratorów.
Mamy nadzieję, że Amazon nie będzie wspierać dłużej „mowy nienawiści”.

I hereby support the call to remove hate speech from Amazon
The call to remove hate speech from Amazon internet services
Dear Sir/Madam,
There are companies on Amazon.com and Amazon.ca that specialize in the production of gadgets or posters using national flags of various countries. Unfortunately, the flags of these countries (including Polish, American and Italian flag as well as flags of South American countries) are often used in the wrong context. The use of national or historical symbols as a graphic printed on the doormat is extremely flagrant.
The doormat (either internal or external) is used as an utility object that people walk on as well as wipe their shoes. The use of the national flag as a graphic on such item brings into mind a direct analogy in relation to a particular country: to trample the Poles or to wipe ones shoes on the Germans, the Americans, the Israelis ... Hatred towards any of the nations may be expressed by the satisfaction of trampling its national flag six times a day.
In many countries the National Flag Day is celebrated. People hang flags during national anniversaries and holidays. National flags are present in the places of exercising the state authority in countries around the world. Many people worship their national colors and hang the flag outside their houses.
In many countries there is a penalty of imprisonment for insulting the flag.
For Europeans and people connected with the European cultural code trampling the flag of a nation is an expression of contempt for this nation. Consequently, the sale of Polish flags as doormats (as it took place on Amazon.ca) or of any other nation shall be understood as spreading contempt among the nations and hate speech.
We request that Amazon.com and amazon.ca remove all the shops that offer doormats with national flags. We also request for the change of rules of the website, so that such products will be automatically blocked by administrators.
We hope that Amazon will no longer support "hate speech"
