2023 was a terrible year for Irish freedom, with a vast amount of totalitarian legislation being tabled in the Oireachtas - including the so-called "hate speech" bill and the so-called "safe access zones" bill (aka the exclusion zones bill).

So, let's start 2024 by clawing-back some of our freedoms which are being lost to the radical idea of putting "diversity" policing (thought policing) above policing real criminal activity.

Please SIGN and SHARE this petition which tells the Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee, to end so-called "diversity" (thought) policing and refocus on real crime, like stopping the drugs trade which is currently tearing the country apart, family-by-family.

Recent figures reveal that as of April 2023, there were 332 divisional drug officers compared to 481 diversity officers in An Garda Síochána.

This disturbing disproportion in the allocation of resources tells us that the Irish Department of Justice's priorities are woefully misplaced.

So-called "diversity" should never override the fight against debilitating drug crimes plaguing our society, and we need to demand that more guards are placed in drugs units rather than in diversity units.

The current policy diminishes the good the Guards can accomplish by prioritising so-called "non-crime hate incidents" (which, as the name indicates, means they are not actually criminal offences at all!) over serious crimes like drug pushing.

Moreover, this policy not only misrepresents non-crime hate incidents as actual crimes, but also threatens the very essence of free speech because policing "non-crime hate incidents" is, at its root, about policing thoughts and words.

Please SIGN and SHARE this crucial petition now.

Of course, some words - like, incitement to actual violence - should be restricted. But, there are already laws on the books against such behaviour!

So, where so-called "non-crime hate incidents" are concerned, the crucial questions are: how are "hate incidents" defined and who will do the defining, and why should anyone trust that person or persons?

In this regard, there are too many unknowns, making this policy ripe for abuse by individuals exploiting the system both as a tool for seeking retribution, or as a tool for personal gain.

Either way, a negative, chilling effect is exerted on our freedom of expression, and this does not at all align with the democratic principles we value.

We, therefore, encourage every freedom-loving person in Ireland to SIGN and SHARE this vital petition, today, and say NO to any more thought policing and YES to real police work.

The Minister for Justice will be directly contacted with this petition, as will the leaders of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael.

Thank you for taking action now.

Prioritise Real Crime Units Over Diversity Policing Units

Recent figures reveal that as of April 2023, there were 332 divisional drug officers compared to 481 diversity officers in An Garda Síochána. This disturbing disproportion in the allocation of resources indicates skewed priorities within our justice system.

And, "diversity" should never override the fight against debilitating drug crimes plaguing our society.

The current policy diminishes the good the Guards can accomplish by prioritising so-called "non-crime hate incidents" (which, as the name indicates, means they are not actually criminal offences!) over serious crimes like drug pushing.

This policy not only misrepresents non-crime hate incidents as actual crimes, but also threatens the very essence of free speech because policing "non-crime hate incidents" is all about policing thoughts and words.

But who will define what constitutes a "non-crime hate incident", and why should anyone trust that person or persons?

In this regard, this policy is ripe for abuse by individuals exploiting the system both as a tool for seeking retribution or as a tool for personal gain, thereby chilling freedom of expression. This does not align with the democratic principles we value.

We, therefore, call on you now to reprioritise real crime units, like divisional drugs units, over diversity policing units. Let's focus on combating real crimes and stop policing thoughts and words.

We urge you to reconsider this policy, prioritising real crimes that directly impact the safety and welfare of our citizens over policing non-crime hate incidents.
