UPDATE: 19TH Feb 2024:
It has been one year since the courts ruled to allow LGBT organizations to register in Kenya, despite the Kenyan law and culture being clearly against it.
This decision has sparked controversy and raised serious concerns about the future of Kenyan families and the preservation of their cultural heritage. The sanctity of traditional family structures, which form the cornerstone of Kenyan society, is undermined by this decision that seeks to normalize lifestyles at odds with Kenya's deeply held beliefs.
According to a recent Ipsos Synovate poll, 90 per cent of Kenyans are opposed to homosexuality, reflecting the overwhelming consensus within our society that marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman. We must not allow anyone to redefine this institution, which has been the bedrock of our families and communities for generations.
That's why we need to support the Family Protection Bill by Honourable Peter Kaluma.
The Family Protection Bill, proposed by Honourable Peter Kaluma, is a step in the right direction toward preserving the moral values and cultural identity of Kenya. The Bill aims to ban homosexuality, same-sex marriages, and any activities related to LGBTQ, which is a positive move to protect the family structure in the country.
By prohibiting the promotion of LGBTQ activities and lobbying, the Bill prevents the spread of the LGBTQ agenda in Kenya. This is important because it protects the values that are cherished by Kenyans and prevent the influence of foreign cultures on the country's moral and social fabric. The Bill also suggests clamping down on the promoters and funders of LGBTQ activities, which is necessary to prevent the spread of this destructive ideology.
The Bill recognizes that sex is a physical state of being male or female, which is observed and assigned at birth, and not an identity that one is free to choose and assign themselves. This is a vital aspect of the Bill as it protects the traditional understanding of gender, which is crucial to the family structure in Kenya. It also recognizes the rights of parents to retain control over their children's education and ensure that they are informed and give consent to their children's sexualiity education.
The Bill also proposes banning Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in pre-primary, primary, and secondary school education programs, which teaches homosexuality, LGBTQ issues, abortion, and masturbation to children. This is an important aspect of the Bill because it protects children from being exposed to inappropriate content that is not consistent with Kenyan culture and values.
Additionally, the Bill limits the rights to assembly, demonstration, association, expression, belief, privacy, and employment in childcare institutions in respect of homosexual convicts and those engaged in LGBTQ behavior. It also prohibits adoption by homosexuals and LGBTQ persons, which is essential to preserving the traditional family structure in Kenya.
In conclusion, the Family Protection Bill proposed by Honourable Peter Kaluma is an essential step toward protecting Kenya's cultural identity and moral values. The Bill aims to ban homosexuality, same-sex marriages, and any activities related to LGBTQ, which is necessary to prevent the spread of this destructive ideology. It also recognizes the importance of protecting children from inappropriate content and ensuring that parents retain control over their children's education. The Bill is a positive move towards protecting the family structure in Kenya, and it is vital that it is passed into law.
