KENYA:Stop the baby manufacturing bill by Hon. Millie Odhiambo in the National Assembly urgently
The Kenyan National Assembly is about to pass a very controversial bill that will promote experimentation of laboratory baby production and also the hire of wombs through surrogacy.
In what seems to be a rebuttal for a failed abortion bill in the Senate, the Suba North MP, Honourable Millie Mabona Odhiambo tabled this bill knowing very well the grave issues it raises.
The bill proposes legal surrogacy and Invitro Fertilization which were also in the failed bill by Honourable Senator Kihika in the senate.
Surrogacy has raised a lot of ethical, legal, and moral questions besides it being a failure in developed countries.
The bill is past its second reading, there is a lot of questions on the public participation in this bill as it was not transparent.
We are calling for the speaker to halt any further discussion towards this bill and allow public participation.
Sign this petition to ask the speaker of the National Assembly Honourable Justin Muturi to shelve the bill as soon as possible.

This petition demands that you shelve the controversial baby manufacturing bill that is before the National Assembly past second reading.
The bill raises many ethical issues besides opening a pandora's box for a womb business in Kenya.
This is a bill not well thought through but a copy-paste from developed countries that also are experiencing many challenges from everything that forms the spirit of the bill.
The process of public participation of the bill is also to be faulted as it was not transparent.
