Eric is a 20-year-old man living in British Columbia, Canada, who has been approved for death by (MAiD) euthanasia.

In 2013, shortly after he lost his mom to suicide, his health started declining. Stomach problems led to liver and kidney disease, pancreatitis, and severe chronic pain. It appears that he has been medically mismanaged.

After a hospital roommate was killed by (MAiD), Eric decided he also wanted to be killed this way. Eric is loved by many friends and family and has a special relationship with his grandmother who is devastated by his decision, “‘I lost his mom,’ she said, through tears. ‘And now I’ll be losing him.’”

We urge Eric to NEVER GIVE UP fighting for proper pain management and the care he deserves. He has many years of living ahead of him.

(MAiD) is a public health concern that is preventable with proper care. We believe in caring, not killing.
