Mr Deputy Prime Minister,

We have noted with great disappointment your statements regarding homosexuality as reflected in the Times of Eswatini dated 08 October, 2019.

We further condemn your disrespect towards chiefs of the Shiselweni Region.

May we remind you that in our culture chiefs are a direct extension of His Majesty the Ingwenyama.

How dare you try to pressurize them into accepting homosexuality!

We would therefore remind you of the following:

1. The Universal Declaration on Human Rights clearly states that the family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State. How do you intend to ensure that the family is protected if you agree to the very things that erode the existence of the family unit? Since homosexuals cannot procreate are you are advocating for the end of the family in Eswatini. Is this what all Emaswati really want?

2. National Sovereignty is a fundamental principle of the United Nations Charter. Article 2.1  states the Organization (United Nations) is based on the principle of the sovereign equality of all its Members. In this regard we would like  the Deputy Prime Minister to tell the truth and confirm that smaller developing countries are being pressured by donor countries to accept homosexuality and all other controversial issues on which there is no universal and inter-governmentally negotiated agreement and he is agreeing with these donor countries.

May he be reminded that THERE IS CURRENTLY NO INTER-GOVERNMENTALLY NEGOTIATED INTERNATIONAL INSTRUMENT OR AGREED HUMAN RIGHTS TREATY ON THE ISSUE OF LGBT

3. The 15th Fifteenth Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union Heads of State on 27 July 2010 in Kampala, Uganda adopted a decision to:

"REITERATE the importance of respecting regional, cultural and religious value

systems as well as particularities in considering human rights issues;

"STRESS the need to maintain joint ownership of the international human

rights agenda and to consider human rights issues in an objective and non-confrontational

manner; and

“STRONGLY REJECT any attempt to undermine the international human rights system by seeking to impose concepts or notions pertaining to social matters, including private individual conduct, that fall outside the internationally agreed human rights legal framework, taking into account that such attempts constitute an expression of disregard for the universality of human rights;”. Our beloved Head of State Ingwenyama His Majesty King Mswati III represented the country at that meeting. Now, Mr Deputy Prime Minister by your statements you are confirming that Government has decided to go against the position of the African Union and completely disregards His Majesty’s leadership.

 4. Can you kindly clarify which Government you are part of since the nation is aware that the homosexual organization’s registration was recently rejected by the same Government that you claim to serve?

 5. By your statements are you confirming that our country and its leaders are endorsing the controversial notions of sexual orientation (preference) and gender identity. Research has found that to date there are more than thirty (30) different sexual preferences which include paedophilia (preference of sex with children) and bestiality (preference of sex with animals). That is why the abbreviation list is endless. Nobody knows whether it is LGBT/LGBTQ/LGBTQI etc.

Yet you are saying that the people of Eswatini endorse such unnatural behavior.

Mr Deputy Prime Minister you are offside!

STOP IT!
