Defend Councillor Lisa Robinson from Pickering City Council
Update: The City of Pickering Censorship was offended due to the original banner image. Banner was updated to reflect this development. Councilor Robinson's pay was frozen for another 60 days, and there are other forces working towards removing her from elected office.
On October 23, Pickering City Council voted unanimously to freeze Councillor Lisa Robinson's pay.
Why?
Because she did her duty as a councillor by proposing the following 3 motions on behalf of her constituents:
- A motion to prohibit the flying of the pride flag on Municipal Property.
- A motion to restrict drag story hour events to adults only.
- A motion to have a female-only changeroom, a male-only changeroom, and a universal changeroom for families and others.
Robinson's motions aimed to ensure that the City of Pickering provides age-appropriate and non-sexual events for children, private spaces for women, and for the municipality to remain neutral from favoring a specific group of individuals over everyone else.
For merely presenting these motions to the city council and explaining them on her personal Facebook page, Robinson received a 60-day pay freeze after the Integrity Commissioner, Janice Atwood-Petkovski, and her fellow council members, specifically Mara Nagy, Maurice Brenner, and Linda Cook, found her proposed motions "unethical" because they considered them "homophobic" and"transphobic."
Councillor Cook even argued that drag performances are a form of "art" and are not hyper-sexualized events targeting children.
Furthermore, Mayor Ashe told Atwood-Petkovski that she did not have to answer Robinson's questions regarding her investigation into Robinson's actions.
Worse still, the council passed the "Legislative Amendments to Improve Municipal Codes of Conduct and Enforcement," which will allow the removal of a sitting member by recommendation of the integrity commissioner through the court system.
The LGBT mob is weaponizing the integrity commissioner to freeze her pay and even kick her out of office.
Through the councillors' actions, it becomes clear they do not respect that Lisa Robinson is just doing her job as an elected city councillor and representing her constituents' pro-family values.
The Integrity Commissioner, Atwood-Petkovski, and Pickering City Council appear to have forgotten that the Charter of Rights and Freedoms protects differences of opinion, including Councillor Lisa Robinson’s freedom to represent her and her constituents differing opinions within municipal government.

Stop Persecuting Councillor Lisa Robinson Because of Her Differing Opinions
Dear Mayor Kevin Ashe, Councillors Maurice Brenner, Linda Cook, David Pickles, Mara Nagy, Shaheen Butt, and Integrity Commissioner Janice Atwood-Petkovski,
I am deeply concerned about your recent actions against Councillor Lisa Robinson.
Her pay was frozen for 60 days for merely proposing motions that reflected her constituents' concerns. Freezing a publicly elected official’s salary because she holds a different opinion is unhealthy for democracy.
Instead, it is a great disservice to all citizens to freely choose and decide who they want to elect as their City Councillor.
Furthermore, Councillor Robinson’s actions were done out of duty to represent her constituents. The motions aimed to ensure city-funded family events were age-appropriate for children, biological females would have the right to personal privacy within public women’s washrooms and changerooms, and the city would not give special privileges to specific communities over all other citizens.
Despite this, youself and the rest of the City Council requested a review of her actions. Accusations of homophobia and transphobia were levied against her, despite her clear clarification of her stance.
Furthermore, Mayor Ashe, you denied Councillor Robinson the right to question the Integrity Commissioner, which raises serious concerns about government transparency.
Finally, the "Legislative Amendments to Improve Municipal Codes of Conduct and Enforcement" motion, passed with only Robinson voting against, is perceived as a power play to oust elected officials who dare to disagree.
I am alarmed to see these actions toward silencing and censoring citizens who have differing opinions. Stop bullying Councillor Robinson for merely doing her job and representing her constituents’ views.
This is not the fair and free democratic process I expect to see here in Canada.
I urge you to respect the principles of free speech, representation, and democracy. Stop the persecution of Councillor Lisa Robinson. Let our voices be heard.
