Red Deer, Alberta, has found itself at the center of a controversy that parallels troubling global power dynamics.

Monique LaGrange, an elected trustee of the Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools (RDCRS), stood as the pro-family voice of the people, only to find herself dismissed due to an alleged act of "misconduct."

LaGrange was 'unelected' by fellow trustees Anne Marie Watson, Murray Hollman, Cynthia Leyson, Dorraine Lonsdale, and Sharla Heistad, who decided that their judgment held greater weight than the democratic election results.

Their dismissal of LaGrange's rightful election comes as a direct assault on democracy.

Such an incident ignites the question:

Who truly holds power in a democratic society?

Are the people electing the officials or tyrannical, sexual, and radical minorities?

What brought this issue into sharp relief was a private Instagram post made by LaGrange, where she expressed her opinion about the brainwashing tactics used by the Nazis mirrored in the radical sex education pushed by the LGBT lobby.

Alberta’s Premier, Danielle Smith, only intensified the situation by rallying behind the board's decision, alluding to LaGrange's comparison as an "inappropriate comparison."

LaGrange's removal rings alarm bells for democracy and freedom.

While the radical trustees stripped her of her position, the undermining narrative points toward an extreme minority seeking to continue the sexualization of children against a pro-family advocate.

We need to mobilize and resist the continued rainbow-colored, sexual brainwashing of our children.

We must demand Premier Smith to uphold Canada and Alberta's democratic election traditions.

LaGrange's voice echoed the concerns of the Red Deer citizens who elected her.

Her political martyrdom exposes the underlying form of tyranny, one that utilizes fear and intimidation to seize control.

These orchestrated events, even more shockingly, played out within a "Catholic" board with “Catholic” trustees who consciously worked against Christian values.

Now more than ever, it is important that we resist the erosion of our democratic freedoms by standing up to these hostile entities.

Add your voice calling on Premier Daniella Smith to overturn the unjust decision by the RDCRS trustees and uphold the 2021 municipal election results for Red Deer.

Reinstate Monique LaGrange - Uphold Democracy and Freedom of Speech

Dear Premier Danielle Smith, Minister of Education Demetrios Nicolaides, Jason Stephan of Red Deer-South, and Adriana LaGrange from Red Deer-North,

I demand you restore Monique LaGrange's rightful position as a democratically elected trustee of the Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools (RDCRS).

The 2021 election results affirmed Ms. LaGrange's selection by the people of Red Deer. Her subsequent 'unelection' drastically subverts the pillars of our democracy.

Red Deer citizens’ power to freely elect their representatives was stripped away by a handful of her colleagues, who ideologically disagreed with her personal opinions.

This issue has become a much bigger problem that undermines the democratic process that allows every single Canadian the right to decide who they want to represent their interests within public office.

Dismissing an elected school board trustee, due to the personal convictions of ideologically different members, sets a dangerous norm.

The allegations of 'misconduct' against Ms. LaGrange for disseminating a meme on social media encroaches on her fundamental rights of free speech and expression.

This action suppresses dissenting voices and hinders the nurturing of candid discussions, which are the lifeblood of a vibrant democracy.

When fairly elected officials are “unelected” over a social media meme, I question the RDCRS' and the Province of Alberta’s respect for the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Restoring Monique LaGrange to her duly elected position will be the first step in restoring my trust in you to safeguard free elections and cherish ideological diversity that strengthens our democratic nation and political discourse.

Sincerely,

[Ihr Name]
