Over a year ago, we were alarmed about an increasingly serious problem related to gender ideology in sport.

Unfortunately, the rules of the International Olympic Committee still allow a man to compete in a woman's competition if his testosterone level for the last 12 months does not exceed 10 nanomoles per liter.

According to this guideline, a citizen of New Zealand won the Silver Medal at the world weightlifting championship, a few weeks ago in the +90 kg weight class. Laurel (earlier male name: Gavin) Hubbard comes from New Zealand. Previously, as a man, he was training as a weightlifter.

Protesters against these ICL rules raise not only the ideologization of sport, but also the fact that men's weightlifting allows for training with significantly higher loads than women, which, on a practical plane, means that a male competitor can gain far more muscle mass than women who train according to the principle of women's training.

With the Winter Olympics approaching quickly, this issue is very current and relevant.

We, thus, invite you to sign this petition against gender ideology in sport, addressed to the members of the International Olympic Committee.

Thank you!

No gender ideology at the Olympics: Men should not compete against women

For the Kind Attention of:

  • Members of the International Olympic Committee

Keeping in mind respect for people struggling with problems of gender identity, as well as valuing sporting tradition, we ask Committee members to ensure that guidelines for sports in the Olympic Games respect the natural differences between women and men, and, thus, be free from gender ideology and not identify with the LGBT movement.

With the Winter Olympics approaching quickly, this issue is very relevant.

Your current rule, which allows a man to compete against a woman if his testosterone levels have not exceeded 10 nanomoles per liter in the last 12 months, and which also effectively acts as a determinant of the "change" of his gender to a woman, obviously leads to the application of gender ideology in sport.

This is wrong, especially as it insists that something which is not true is somehow true. Testosterone levels are only one difference between men and women, but a man's DNA will always remain that of a man and a woman's DNA will always remain that of a woman - with the associated differences in muscle mass, bone structure, etc.

It is a lie to say otherwise, and in the future, any results arising from this misguided rule will probably be voided.

Together with other signatories of this petition, therefore, I expect you to change your rules of sport to those that are free of gender ideology.

Thank you for your serious consideration of this important matter for international sporting.
