CitizenGO invites you to participate in the sixty-first session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations.
Countries from 193 Member States will send delegations from their capital to represent them at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from March 13th to the 24th.
Representatives of Member States, UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited NGOs (like CitizenGO) will participate in negotiations to discuss how billions of development aid dollars are spent globally to help women and girls.
Finding solutions to eradicate poverty and hunger, improve health and education, and produce clean water, are among the most vital needs of women and girls in less fortunate nations.
However, a coalition of nations, lead by the European Union, Brazil, Cuba, Canada, and many more, are using this important conference to push a different agenda. They will insist that the priority must be to spend taxpayer dollars on abortion, free access to birth control, comprehensive sexuality education to children as young as 4-years-old, and to establish sexual orientation and gender identity as a human right.
In fact, these Member States have introduced destructive items in a binding report called “Agreed Conclusions for Women’s Economic Empowerment in the Changing World of Work.” This report is set to give your nation mandates on how to achieve these targets.
Left unchecked, 2017 will be the year that these nations will demand the United Nations to increase their role in funding radical programs meant to corrupt the morals of children, disrupt the natural family, and kill millions of unborn babies.
Can I count on you to help us be an effective voice at the sixty-first session of the Commission on the Status of Women?
Participate in the Commission on the Status of Women by signing our petition. The petition will be delivered to your UN delegation; it will ask that they work to delete any and all references to the harmful sexual agenda that supports abortion, free access to birth control, sexual orientation and gender identity, and comprehensive sexuality education.
Instead, we will demand that they promote solutions to what women and girls in many nations really need: nutrition, clean water, healthcare, and education.
